I wasn't sure if I was going to like it when I bought it from Half Price Books so I held off buying the second and third book until I had read it. Halfway through I knew I would want the other two but they were gone when I came back to the store. Needless to say they are on their way from Amazon right now!

It's a suspenseful and intriguing storyline that I can imagine making a great movie as the book suggested is in the works right now.

I love how he took historical events and scientific theories and created his own theory and story surrounding them. It had me googling a lot of things to learn more or find out which parts were true or exaggerated.

There are a lot of people who didn’t like this book. The general consensus of those reviews seems to be along the lines of ‘had potential but over-complicated plot’ or ‘too cliche.’ I was somewhat surprised to find that out once I finished it. I liked all the elements of the plot and his writing style didn’t bother me- and I’m typically critical of bad writing styles. Maybe because I enjoy learning I didn’t mind all the explanations.

Let the haters hate, I guess!

I would read this book again and am looking forward to the next two!
