The Wager
“Byron could not yet know for certain the true nature lurking inside his fellow seamen or even himself: a long, dangerous voyage inexorably exposed one’s hidden soul.”
Wise Gals
“It is only in death that the full measure of their accomplishment can be revealed.”
The Great Christ Comet

Redeeming Our Thinking about History
“God rules history. Moreover, he has a plan for history, a plan that encompasses its overall shape and all the details.”

Five Presidents
This one is a long one, but I really enjoyed it! It helped put different historical events in order and made connections I hadn't thought of before. I know I learned a lot of it in school, but you don't really try to remember it that much and once you're an adult, you realize more why remembering is so important.
In Cold Blood
It was an interesting read. I hadn't heard of this trial at all so it was new to me.
